Tuberculosis (A15–A19) (code according to ICD-10 revision)

Includeds:

  • infections caused by М. tuberculosis and М. Mycobacterium bovis.

Excluded:

  • congenital tuberculosis (P37.0);
  • HIV disease resulting in mycobacterial infection (B20.0);
  • pneumoconiosis associated with tuberculosis (J65);
  • sequelae of tuberculosis (B90.-);
  • pneumoconiosis associated with tuberculosis (J65).

A15 Respiratory tuberculosis, bacteriologically and histologically confirmed.

A15.0 Tuberculosis of lung, confirmed by sputum microscopy with or without culture.

Tuberculous: confirmation by bacterioscopy with or without culture growth:

  • bronchoectasis;
  • pneumonia;
  • fibrosis of the lung;
  • pneumothorax.

A15.1 Pulmonary tuberculosis, confirmed by culture alone.

Conditions listed under A15.0 confirmed by culture growth only.

A15.2 Pulmonary tuberculosis, histologically confirmed.

Conditions listed under A15.0, confirmed histologically.

A15.3 Tuberculosis of lung, confirmed by unspecified means.

Conditions listed under A15.0 confirmed but not specified bacteriologically or histologically.

A15.4 Tuberculosis of intrathoracic lymph nodes, confirmed bacteriologically and histologically tuberculosis of the lymph nodes:

  • hilar;
  • mediastinal;
  • tracheobronchial.

Confirmed bacteriologically and histologically.

Excl.: specified as primary (A15.7)

A15.5 Tuberculosis of larynx, trachea and bronchus, confirmed bacteriologically and histologically.
