5.1. INTRODUCTION
Man-made disasters are widespread all over the world. Of particular importance are road traffic accidents that kill more than a million people each year. No less important are fires and explosions on residential and industrial premises. A significant role in this is played by the human factor as the cause of such incidents. There has been a significant increase in terrorist activity over the past decade. Terrorism has grown global. In this regard, managing health-related after-effects of these disasters is of great importance. Provision of medical assistance to the victims and their further care becomes especially important.
