Endometrial hyperplastic processes (EHP) include different variants of endome-trial hyperplasia and endometrial polyps.

EPIDEMIOLOGY
In recent years there has been an increased incidence of EHP, which is associated with both an increase in life expectancy of women and the increasing number of women with neuroendocrine disorders, accompanied by metabolic disorders, adverse environmental conditions, the increasing number of chronic somatic diseases with decreased immunity.
Endometrial hyperplasia occurs in about 5% of gynaecological patients. Data on the frequency of atypical endometrial hyperplasia mainly concern women of periand postmenopausal age and vary widely from 2,1 to 10,1%.
Endometrial polyps are detected in 5,3-25% of gynaecological patients of all age groups but most common - in preand postmenopausal women.
PREVENTION
Timely diagnosis and treatment of patients with various disorders of menstrual function, since menarche.
Correction of various neuroendocrine disorders, and metabolic disorders.
A healthy lifestyle (avoiding STIs, intrauterine interventions, artificial termination of pregnancy).
An adequate examination and treatment of EHP at the first detection.
SCREENING
Ultrasound examination by transvaginal probe, in case of doubt - hydrosonography.
Aspirate from the uterine cavity, or endometrial biopsy.
