ACCIDENTS AND EMERGENCY PART 1

A medical emergency is an acute injury or illness. It poses and immediate threat to a person?s life and health. Sometimes it is called a situation risking ?life or limb?. Any response to an emergency medical situation depends on the

situation, the casualty and the availability of resources and the location of the emergency or an accident. Every person who is dealing with an accident or emergency situation should follow several steps in giving the first aid. First aid is the immediate assistance provided to a sick or injured person until professional help arrives.
