What first aid measures should be taken? Is the nail to be removed from the wound?

2. Cutting the timber a man got wounded with the ax. The frontal ankle surface shows a wound 10×1 cm with visible bone on the bottom, the edge of the wound emits dark-red blood; bleeding is moderate.

Identify the wound and bleeding type. Point out necessary first aid measures. What method of bleeding control seems to be the best possible in this situation?

3. A woman twisted her leg and fell down in the street. She complains of pain in the right ankle joint on movement.

4. Your neighbor asked for help. He was hanging a New Year illumination and fell down from the stepladder hitting his chest against the door knob. Laterally to the chest cage in the right pit cavity there is a wound of about 3 cm in size surrounded with abrasions; breathing is accompanied with whistling sound.

5. A young man fell down from motorcycle and hit his ankle against the curb. The injured area manifests strong pain and approximately 5 cm swelling which is quickly growing in diameter.

What fist aid measures are necessary to be taken in this situation?

6. A boy fell down from the bicycle and hit his firearm. His attempts to move arm cause strong pain. Middle third of the forearm manifests deformation.

What fist aid measures are necessary to be taken in this situation?
