Introduction

Contemporary forms of education require the development of fundamentally new approaches to teaching in general, and to the study of each discipline separately. Teaching Latin was and remains an integral part of the process of forming a specialist with higher education and is considered an integral part of the university program of humanization of higher education.

This tutorial guide serves as the main educational tool in English for foreign students. Tutorial is intended for the organization of classroom and extracurricular self-study, creative work of first-year full-time students.

The materials of the classes correspond to the curriculum and include practical and theoretical assignments.

In each part of the tutorial, you can find theoretical material that reveals the essence of this or that question, the rules of certain actions, information on related issues. The main part of the tutorial consists of assignments aimed at strengthening a wide variety of skills necessary to work with the specified terminology. These exercises are arranged in ascending order of difficulty; each successive exercise reinforces and develops the skills learned in the previous ones. A number of exercises also have a cognitive purpose, including information on the etymology of a term, the practical application of a particular medication, etc.

The proposed assignments meet the principles of accessibility and professional sufficiency, are consistent with the logic of the curriculum in content and volume.
